Admissions

Application Process

We are welcoming applications for kindergarten to grade seven, meaning children born between 2012 and 2020.

Applications for our upper grades are processed on a rolling basis. While we have some spots available currently in our upper grades, we won’t have a complete picture of how many spaces we are able to offer until re-enrolment is complete in February. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Applicants are welcome to visit the school and submit applications prior to that time. For more information, contact [email protected].

  • To learn more about Claren Academy, take a look through our website and virtual tour. Our mission, vision, and values are important to our school culture and we look for families that resonate with the principles that Claren Academy was founded on.

  • Start the application process by booking a 15 minute introduction call with our Admissions team.

    We’ll go over what you’re looking for in your search for a new school.

  • An admissions staff member will set up your account and assign an “admissions checklist”. You can work through the checklist to upload supporting documents and complete the application form.

    Application Fee:

    The $200 application fee is collected at the final step of the application form.

    Applications will not be reviewed until all required supporting documents are uploaded, the application form is submitted, and the application fee is paid.

    The application fee covers the administrative costs of reviewing a candidate’s file.

    The payment of the application fee does not guarantee that applicants will be invited to proceed to the classroom visit and family interview stage of the admissions process.

  • To enable us to get a full and accurate picture of the applicant's educational needs, please provide all documents and information that may be relevant to our assessment for admission to Claren Academy.

    The following supporting documents are requested to complete your application:

    Recent photograph of the applicant (ideally a head shot where we can see the applicants face clearly);

    Copy of birth certificate;

    Reference Letters; Please note: you will be requesting these recommendations by sending a link to an online form, which the referee will complete and send directly back to us.

    Proof of Canadian citizenship status or landed immigrant/permanent residence status for the applicant and at least one parent;

    School report cards/progress reports: last final report card, and all of this year's reports, teacher comments and ELL (English Language Learning) addendums, if applicable;

    Any Individual Educational Plans (IEP) assigned to the student (if applicable);

    Any educational related assessments of the student, including but not limited to psycho-educational assessments; and

    Any other pertinent information regarding the applicant's educational needs.

    Please upload requested documents according to the checklist of your online application.

    Applications are not considered complete until all supporting documents are received. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.
